Big Sound Seattle or Happy Grunge!
The musicians in Gruvland grew up in various music scenes from Seattle to Belfast, N.Ireland. Playing together over the years the three-piece known as Gruvland was born. Bonding over the years with a passion for the melodic and the heavy. A leap of faith was made to lay down some tracks in the iconic London Bridge studio in Seattle. Each member brings a unique musical aesthetic to the band, and over the years, we’ve grown comfortable jumping genres and mashing up influences.
London Bridge Studio
Having recorded dozens of times over the years at various locations in the Seattle area, we did a session at LBS in 2021 and were blown away. Some of the finest bands in the area have done albums here, and it was an absolutely amazing experience.
The drum room at LBS
The drum room at LBS is legendary for its unique sound and feel. Just listening to different bands that have recorded there one hears the magic of the room instantly. Having a master engineer and producer like Jonathan Plum doesn't hurt either!
He managed to find the sound we were after, and even enhanced it beyond our expectations resulting in something we could all be really proud of.
